Superbly designed by country home specialist architects, Yiangou, the Arts & Crafts style property stretched across 12,000 square feet and 3 stories.
The clients had a clear vision for the property, and wanted to discuss with us what technology they needed to make it entertaining, secure and “manageable day to day”…
A key element for the clients was security across the entire property & grounds.
Site wide high resolution, day-night CCTV system, permanently recording and hardwired to the home security alarm network.
Perimeter sensors immediately pinpoint intruders & external speakers deliver announcements within the grounds.
A direct link to the Lutron lighting control system triggers powerful external spotlights at night.
Anyone approaching the house will become very obvious and feel very unwelcome, very quickly.
Video intercom and access control at the vehicle gate, & coded pedestrian access, deal with more welcome visitors and deliveries!
Security with the right network connections, & dedicated space in the AV rack – designed in from the very start and delivered correctly to the very end!
With Lutron lighting control throughout the ground floor and key master suite, the SeeTouch keypads are all engraved, making it easy to just “Chill” or select the best “Entertain” setting for parties.
Control4 touchscreens, primarily for intercom access to the gates, also continue the easy access to light & comfort management in their entrance hall & kitchen location.

Twinned with the Denon AVR in the rack on the floor above, and the Triad 7.1 speaker system…movie nights for the family are “awesome, amazing, scary!” (their words)
Planned cabling locations across all the floors provide neat CAT6 points for bullet proof media streaming on the 7 Smart TVs to hardwired broadband and Wi-Fi throughout.
Audio from in-ceiling speakers provide the right quality and depth for party time, in the open plan kitchen, receptions and bar. We even found “super slim, super loud” models for a last minute addition in an existing ceiling, that still sound great – thanks Dynaudio!
Bowers & Wilkins architectural external speakers take the vibe outside when required, covering the pool area, and the very important firepit entertaining zone, a Day One client requirement.
With low speed rural broadband at the very outset of the project, a new fibreoptic service became available as the build concluded.
With the design accounting for the right contingency cables and site wide fibreoptic cabling, we enabled the new broadband provider to bring ultra high speed broadband into the existing network, both hardwired and Wi-fi, simply and easily!
With a yearly maintenance contract, the complex systems are kept lean and mean – important with the focus on security and surveillance, 24/7.
Remote support for the network, the Control4 systems for control, audio and the Lutron lighting control all provide the ability to dial in and check / update and reboot as necessary
The original “traditional” SkyQ system can now incorporate Sky Stream technology, and the TV Room’s Apple TV is now delivering YouTube and Apple Movies in “proper” 4K.
Higher broadband requirements of two businesses working at home, and a growing young adult family are easily dialled up to 11!
